Even though i did not get a chance to play for a team in mekelle, but i had the chance to go to Mekelle-Balloni to watch the game with my childhood friends and enjoyed while fighting against the police [guards]...to either let us get in for free or otherwise..lol..we'd ended up losing the boycotting and forced to watch the game from Enda-gewergis bet kristan...too many memories... it was a blast growing up in mekelle...miss the city alot...

i will send you many pictures am so hppey to see this. it reminds me many things.

My name is Sisay Haile-Selassie, am one of those kids who had enjoyed the football soccer game of the 60's, mainly, games of Taidil, Enderta...etc. It was the most colorfull event and had enjoyed my childhood, as it had been free from abuse, but, fun and loving environment, can you make your pictures more specifically identifiable of those players at the time, and you can also make the pictures more lively, rather than as I see it, it is just dead pictures, you can make it more attractive and three dimensional, so that people can enjoy the views such as the city and also the many tourist historical attractions of the region and its surrounding!!! I am sure you could find people who can do the job, in side mekelle!! If not you can hire people who can do the job it does not cost much, and try to avoid, statements that could repel people from coming to you!!! Sisay From Canada(former Ate Yohannes/Kesatie Berhan Elementary Schools, student!!)

My name is Teka Gebremariam born and raised in Mekelle (Jibruk). Thanks to your web site it has brought lots of reminiscences of my childhood, specially in the 70’s and 80’s I enjoying football and basketball at “BALLONI” stadium with my friend Girmay Kebede who was a well known goalkeeper and my elder brother Zeray Berhe who used too run from Balloni to Quiha almost every morning. I will come back to this web site as soon as I find some good old pictures. Until then I would like to give my regards to the Mekelle people, especially to those of you who has been my classmates at “Menfesawi primary school. Mekelle junior high school and Atse Yohannes comprehensive high school in the 70’s and 80’s” and to my former neighbors and friends from Jibruk . I was a GREAT FAN OF ENDERTA FOOTBALL CLUB.

During my seventh grade in mekelle, my childhood friends and i went to Balloni to watch the game between Guna and St.Giorgis... I really had no attention of getting caught but unfortunately it was one of my unlucky days although we had to go through some incidents with the polices..and got beaten by the guards [they have no disposition to be kind] you know how they are...there is no mercy once you are in their hand..however it was a pleasantly entertaining even though it hurts a little...miss these days...can't wait to go back to mekelle one day and hark back to the moments that happened in balloni...being chased by the guard {Worku]...it was a fun thing to do back then...laugh @ his tigrigna accent, he mostly speaks amharic

Hello everyone My name is Teka Gebremariam born and raised in Mekelle (Jibruk), for you people who do not remember who I am? I will try to give you some hints to help you remember me. My mother was known in Jibrukas Emama Belaynesh Hailu and I have older brother Zeray Berhae who used to work in Jibruk whom afterwards became a lorry driver. I went my • Elementary schoole to Mefesawi Schoo. • Junior high school to Mekelle Junior high. • Comprehensive high school to Aste Yohannes comprehensive secondary high school. • I used to work at Seventh day Adventist relief agensy called ADRA and now I live and work in Denmark. It is nice to read so many people writing about their experience of Balloni in mekelle, which is very good and I think every one should keep on doing that. But in the same time it would be nice for people like me who have never been in Mekelle for the last 22 years, yet wonder what has happened to my youth friend life? Friends I want to school with like Sofia Atsebeha, Birchiko Amare, abo Halefom, Tsegaye adwa, Girmay Kebede and etc.. friends from neighborhood in Jibruk like Yemane Baria(kura), wedi meshesha, Birhanu Reda, Abraha Reda, Atakilt Reda, Mulu Teka, Solomon Raza, Getahun Bisirat, Solomon Gebrehiwot etc… and other friends like Biniam Kelem, Yigebawal nega, Dagne nega and all who are from Mekelle seventh Day Adventist. Whether they are in Mekelle, Ethiopia or overseas it would be nice if we can create a network through this website and keep in touch with each other. With regards Teka

Born in Mekelle in Kebele 15 - Endabo Anenia. i have played in Baloni several games with Gere( Gebremedhin - later national team player); endelbu, Getachow Sihul ( later became known singer); Meresa ( i think he involve later with Tigray Sport)to mention some of them. However, my best memories about Baloni is the games between Enderta ( my beloved team) & Taydel. Wel, I remember also ABOY SIYIM the guardian of Baloni.....

Wedi Myliham here. Talking about Baoli takes me back to my childhood in Mekellena. I have so many memories but the one that stands out is the story of Amare Body. I don't know how many of you remember but Amare was a Body builder from Kebelle 14 and somties he played as a goal keeper for his kebelle. Well one time Kebelle 14 played with another kebelle, which I kebelle, it escapes me. Anyhow to continue with the story, while he was guarding the goal, a ball came down his way and Amare knelt to pick up the ball. However, much to his dissmay, the ball bounced over him and landed right behind the net. You guys should have seen how shocked he Amare was. Such is a memory that is still fresh in my mind even though, the story took place more than 15 years ago.

Hi all, I was not born in Mekelle. But I went as a teacher. I used to teach in Quiha high school (1975-1976 eth cal). I also enjoyed going to balloni. I have one bad memory. I belive it was in 1976 the army was playing against Kefitegna. The army was loosing. At the end of the game they went on a rampage beating up any one in the street. I tried to hide in one of "inda sewa". But they found us and gave me a good kick on my behind. I was very angry them. Now I laugh about it.

Hi my name is Million,I grew up in Mekell (Endaharegot, near Enkodo) for about three years from 1966-1969. These were the most memoreable years of my life as I was between the ages of 4 and 7. I miss people I grew up with such as Abbo Tsadik's children( metal work owner at the main market)-Tewelde, Habte, Mesfin,Mengistu, Micheale,Sellamawit, Hagos and Haile. I would like to pass my appreciation to Tewelde and Habte as these brothers were such a natural organizers and leaders that they made our childhood memoreable by playing football, running 12km to Kuiha, playing musical instruements...etc. I hope you guys are doing well wherever you may be. I also pass my greetings to Embaie wedi Tembien and Demoze..........

This is Solomon Nega from Aditureta(kebele 18) I saw some of the posting (esp Teka Gebremariam's) I know some of the names he mentioned, two of them are my brothers(Dangew and Yigebewal) this is a good venue to network with old friends.

hi tegaru. am from mekelle around Donbosco (06) i played for Mesfin Industrial Enjineering for about 5 years, starting from C devision to A division till last year(1998)..it is 1996, wen we had a game with Mekelakeya 107th kifletor @ Baloni, wow! amazing! we were = and if the game ends by this result, the are going to fail from the lege of tigray. so their chance was only to win us. but, @ the end 2nd half, we got penalty, they were acting like crasy, the refery was wedi haleka; who most of us know him by his "koratsnet" and he can not change his idea and then we kick the penalty n then we scored a goal. later, they showed the action of comander over all of us especially on him;wedi haleka, their Tifozo shoot a gun in the baloni. wow!i would b happy if one of you guys who read this was there by then. if some one is here who i know him back home, plz e-mail me.

it is good start. i will send my story that happend to me in mekelle balloni.

Dear Sir: My name is Mesele Fitsum. I am now in Uganda, working as expatritate staff for an agency inovolved in development. I was born and grew up in Mekele, particularly in Endamariam Sefer. I know some of the names on the picture - Kidu, Hailu Wodi Babiso. In fact, Wodi Babiso was my classmate when I was in the elementary school. However, when I think of baloni, my heart goes back to the lates 60s. I was in the elementry school then. I used to support Tidle. I remember Birhane Melat, Seyoum, Asmelash, Assefa wedi bahita, Signor (Egirgir) and others. I used to weep when Tidle loose to Enderta. I also used to adore players from Enderta like Emiru, Nuru (Fetat), Tsega Birahan and others, some of whom paid their life to the armed strugle. So tall and handsome, I liked Mulu Berhe (Wodi Berhe). How can one forget Tawla, the star of Wolwalo team during those periods. Tawla used to wear Congo shoes when playing because they could not find Taketa big enough to fit his feet (people joke). But, one can not miss Mesebo Budun, who used to finish last during the competition. We used to call them - Yegol Medebir. They used to loose regularly. Blessings to all Oh God, memorey never ends if you grow up in Mekele, Particularly Endamariam or YMCA.

i am from mekelle,i was played for SOS village team below 13 years old in baloni. it was really known team in mekelle since 1980-1981.most our schedule was at saturday morning and we kept saturady morning and it was enjoyed time and i always remember georgise time since they were our Competent. let me tell you one thing about balloni, everybody knows the big tree near the basketball which it gave us shadow and "shanfa",it is like fruit.one day we filled the shanfa with "segera(hankashe)" and we through it to the tree and one of our freind Gebrekidan ran to it and cought it and immediately he ate it.after that we called him "shanfa".

It is intersting to se Mekelle in that stage and I am happy for Meles leadership. I am from Gambella and Gammbell look different from where it was in 19991. Keep it up they is always room better!!!!!!!! Yrs Tut Chuol Ruach From Adura Kebela-Gambella Ethiopia

I do not have any memory but let me share with you the encounte of my friends in the 60s. There were these guys - Deki Menderna. They liked to go to Balloni very much (I liked too). One day, they went to Balloni to watch foot ball. Unfortunately, the game was disturbed and they had to leave early (prematurely). They then decided to go to Kalay Katan to swim and spend the remaining hours of the day there. After finished swiming and brushing their faces with Zeiti Bereka (to not look white), they started their way back home. On the way, they felt hungry since they did not eat since the morning. One of our friend particularly was very famished since he gave his entire break fast to his friend in the form of Angolich (because he called the work Siga during fasting)and did not eat anything. Luckinly, they saw a big tent (das) in the near by village. They thought it was Wedding (Mera) and decided to feast on all the food there. Some of them even started massaging their stomach. They did not want to go through the main gate since they were not officially invited and afraid of Agafari (guard)chasing them with stick. They went from behind, removed the tent from bottom and slid themselves to the tent. They could not believe what they saw inside the tent. It was not wedding. It was Adi Hizinat (mourning). People were crying for their beloved once. They ate Kursi Buna (roasted beans) and left. What a coincidence

I was one of the staunch funs of Mekele soccer teams like Keftegna 2 as opposed to the Nebelbal team at the time. And, I used to prepare myself starting from early morning on the Sundays when one of my favourite teams have matches with the latter. On one such occassion, I was at Baloni watching the tornament between Keftegna 2 and Nebelbal. As a staunch fun and supporter, I was giving my voice to my favourite team. Unfortunately, I realized that I was in the middle of the Nebelbal supporters. I realized this after I received a teriible knock on my head that I still remember.

Hello Mekellites. This is Mulu Teka born and raised in the lovely city of Mekelle- the land humor, wit, and social interaction. When someone asks me where exactly I am from in Mekelle. I usually tend to use algebric expression, and would simply say this: my base is damariam gugsa and my exponent is Djibruk. I am very much familiar with the names posted here, which trace back to the old good days at Balloni. That is facinating. Balloni is very much known to me since early childhood. I was an akin and ardent supporter or fan of Enderta- Bireta or seraki koberta as the Tidle (seraki koberat) fans would call us. I will get back to all of you with memories of Balloni events sometime later. I appreciate those who took the initiative to launch this website, and God bless you all.

I attended Atse Yohannes H. S. 1960-1963 Eth. cal. On weekends, we use to go Balloni to watch football matches. Most of us couldn't afford 50 cents to get in (rather buy 8 wancha siwa):-). Therefore, we stood on the Eastern side of the stadium, where there were unarmed police recurits (trainees) assigned to block us from entering the stadium. Saddenly, someone counts 1, 2, 3, and we all rushed in. Taddese Berhe and Asgedom from team Enderta, later Berahley were my favorite players. I love Mekele and it's residents.

hello Mekelle happy new year and all the best love and peace be with you.

hi to every body and have a wonderful new milluniem who lived in beatuful city meklle.

dear all sinier mekellian. haw is life going on? saying these please share your ballky experiance(story) to us(freesh or yanger mekellian)or new generation.

Is there anyone out there who shares the same feelings like mine in that the old mekelle was more beautiful than the new? The mekelle when tydil and inderta were playing? It is not that the buildings and roads were modern, or the players were any better but the belief we had that the best city in the world was mekelle and the best teams were first Inderta and second Tydel. It is not for lack of new buildings and roads now but the over all spirit of mekelle was by far better even as we lived in the old masonry buildings called hidmo, played in the middle of dirt roads, eat t'yta bidikus for breakfast, sing tet'mage arbegna to glorify the flag, hoyahowoye, biyi(barfa, hije), bocha, aq'liq'ual, ashenda, brima, ayanakila, e t c; I believe that our childhood was the best bar none. How much of an investment can bring that back? What good is development if it destroys the human spirit? Is it erecting magnificent buildings and multilane roads? Is it not the spirit of mekelle that needs to be healed and repaired? Building a new stadium is good but bring back the spirit of mekelle first and everything else will naturally follow. We need the kind of human development rooted in love and respect. We need to preserve our values and traditions that made the old mekelle the best place to grow up any were in the world. I want words like lele; chele ; tamagniyuni, Inq’uainey, wa… niganedolenay, libaidi, ikes, etc to be preserved. Long live our martyrs

Wedi Jurukh Some call it Jibrukh. As a Jurukhan, however, we grew up saying we are from Jurukh. No matter how you say it, I am from the famous Kebelle 20. I will never forget famous Jurukhans like, among many, Da Teka Tesfay, Teka Kechinu, Gidetey (RIP), Da Gidey mengiste, Da Grazmach Nega, Haleka Mebrahtu, Haleka Kidanu, Da Gerlase Biru, Mer'eyi negeday, Guwu'h, Da Memhir Haftemariam, Da Mohammed Ferej, da Shum Tembien hadgu, Da 'Ya Haregot, Da 'Bo Ferej,... countless good people. I like most of the comments above; however, Nardos seems to get it wrong in regard to the best Sewa. Jurukh has the best Sewa in town not Edaga Beirai. If so, the lady must have migrated from Jurukh where Sewa is an art. Wedi mayliham is a little bit critics to modernization. He is kind of sick of the old Hudmos. What is wrong with modern buildings and schools? Does the new generation have to live the life YOU lived? No Way. I think he is a homesick dude. He also lied Enderta to be the best team while it was Taidel with world class players like Assefa Bahta among few. Anyways, I gotta go to work. Will come back with more next time. Bahagos Yeganyena Wedi Jurukh

I understand where wedimaliham is coming from with his worries about the old life style of our beloved people of mekelle...the respect the elders they used to get from the youngesters is way way better than it is now...although mekelle has changed a lot, we must do anything we can to preserve the accent (whatever happens I will never ever forget the mekelle/enderta accent) you cannot tell me anything...ask your elders to reminisce what they did in the past in our mekellena...at the same time let's contribute to the furtherance of the developments that are taking place in mekelle and surrouding areas... lele, chele, hideg, haris, nigane, dehna...those are my words...and don't tell me you can't understand my tigrigna...stop instigating...don't be ignorant... i'm done you all... may god bless the city of mekelle and its people...

Dear Tegaru, I was born and raised in Mekelle, the town has special memory in my heart. I don't belong to the generation of most netters, probably a younger generation;but was so moved with the communication, thus I have decided to drop my memories as well. I'm resident of UK. I studied in Elala Junior secondary school and have fond memories of Donbosco,Gereb Elala, Adi gafuf.... Do people know the spring at the basin where the dam has been built? Anyone intersted can contact me through my e-mail address. Let's keep the story of mekelle by shring to each other and to all visitors of the website. Selam kulukum deki Mekelle!

First i was reluctant to post any message (no special reason) but i couldn't resist my ego after i read wedimaliham's text. It just made me remember the sweetest and memorable part of my life, my childhood. I was born grew up, went to school and used to work in mekelle abraha-castle sefer. Mayliham was also my second sefer as it was my grandpa's sefer (the famous YENETA HAGOS). The likes of biyi, barfa, hije, akat, akuwalikual, bocha, maydo-tsaba, ohhhh! Sorry to see almost none of those these days. Waa dahna keniyuta!

Hi my Mekelle brothers and sisters, this is Nardos from Edaga bieray, now the new bus station (kebelle 08). I am proud to say that Edaga Bieray has the best "Sewa" in all mekelle; you can not beat that! I think I can say for sure even the " meteka" tastes great! lol we used to eat meteka a lot, especially Ahsenafi Jefera's mom bakes them to make Sewa and trust me we used to kill that good stuff lol. My child hood friends include, like Ashenafi Jefera, Meouz, Getachew Assefa, Yemane Kobe, Tsegu, Awet, Mulgeta Guza, Tadsse Fitsum, Mulugeta Elat, Napoleon, Goytom (rest in peace), Mensur Haregot, e.t.c and lots of class mates both from Adi Haki (fre lekatit, grades 7-10, from 1992-1996 G.C, like Noah, Tedros, Desu, Negasi e.t.c), and from Atse Yohannes secondary especially my good friend and class mate Tewelde who hailes from Meserete in grade 11 in 1997 G.C. About Baloni, really lots of great memory in Baloni; first of all we founded the now famous Circus: Circus Tigrai in Baloni around 1993 G.C with Gitu Alemseged as our Coach. I remember we used to go to Baloni at around 5:00 a.m in the morning and jump trhough the wall with our back facing enda Giorgis to run, excersise, to do acrobatas, and to do lots of push-ups (only to gain a little bit of mucssle to bully our pals and friends who hardly do any sports at all lol). In the morning when the gurad of Baloni Werku comes, he would chase us all the way out of the stadium but only to find out that we would right go back in through the other door lol. We were young and full of energy. It was almost routine. I think after a while he kind of gave up and became cool with us. He had a halarious Tigringa accent though. We would then go home, do some home chores, go to school, and come back after 6:00 p.m, and do lots of acrobats, yoga, push ups and so on. Lots of great memory at Baloni, the brith place of Circus Tigrai. Peace to all, I Love Mekelle and her people, the best city and the best people in the world! Nardos NJ, USA

Hi! deki Mekelle! Do you remember the days when Mekelle was a medium size town , during the early 50s? I just cannot forget all we used to do every day was to prove that each of us were respectable!busy in Kalsi by the name Hilko-Zagra, Eshishu, ayanakila, collection of perfect wood for ayanakila from endamedhanialem Dur, and occasionally looking for hyenas in the dur, Tsel'o, particularly those of us who still were working on the fruitful land of maida mekelle, some of us in kewi ,relied on tseló, for our daily supplements anyways it was truely a great fun and enjoyment. Do some of you recall that at school we were also very serious, competing with each other like in all games whether at Balloni or wewekima, atse yohannes or teklay gizat meda. It is indeed gratifying to see so many of us still working very hard for the betterment of Ethiopia as well as Tigray, togather with our younger brothers and Sisters. The fast growth of Mekele is what fasinates me most. I still recall the days when the first EELPA poles were being erected, When the water pipeline from Aynalem was being laid,...,when we had entered for the first time to asquala, in Meserete, additionalan alternative to Atse Yohannes. And ofcourse we all remember the great Raisi Megesha,by operating a Dozzer by himself was opening the first roads of the modern day mekee!( Wedi Lahmina!) This was not a long time ago, But now Deki Adey! Our beloved town , by vertue of her hard working people, grew to be a wonderful city, with Industries, University and Colleges, Refferal Hospitals, Hawelties , Museums, Theatre, bands, Circuses,Modern hotels, night clubs,(compared with enda Aklita night club the newances are well established) Beautiful Boulvards,Squares Condos, cobble stone pavements, and lately a new Balloni put under construction! Mekele Quiha road and Gergembez Allula Abanega! air port opened ... etc And this in a very short time! I am proud about the city and its dwellers, and also of the government of Ethiopia, that gave Mekele equal chance to grow and prosper like all other towns of Ethiopia. But still, I still love and and preserve my affection to the old Humble, god loving and hard working people of my younger days and the then Mekele. This probably is why I want Maileham to be preserved for the coming Generations, with its Atseds ,Gonaidairo , endayesus, as are so atleast when we go back home looking to the eastern side the main elements of Mekelle are still there to instal our memories back and cherish by what our fathers had achieved and by what we also achived through our hard work and finance! long live Mekele adey and all its people!

what about "TAIDIL WERKI IDIL" and "ENDERTA BRETA"

Selam Gony Daero, Wedi M. Bugusa and all! I know Kibrom Tsegay is a very popular and strong guy to his generation. I may be to young to remember all the details what he does back then, but I heard a lot about him. He even never shay away to fight with Nebelbal ( Derg Miltery). Some how, Kibrom was really strong and unique guy to his generation. I heard also about “ China Group” but I have no knowledge of the group in details. But, it would have been nicer if someone enlighten us about it. About the dogs you mentioned, it my be coincidence, but Menderna used to have two strong dogs and their names were “Flick”(owner Haileslassie) and “Lope” (Owner Hailu Egirger) and Tarzan ( I forgot who own this dog) I will write a lot about this next time. Now, let me take you to my generation , the “Hurty” and “ Lungy” group. I don’t belong to either of them. But both group were opposite. To make it clear, “Hurty” were a group of boys and girls (Sexual involved?) and “Lungy” also from Gubruk only boys. If I’m not wrong, none of them had political involved. But, some how Derg were suspicious and arrest all the “Hurty” group and when they torched them they admit that as they had a hidden political agenda. In fact, they made up and created the meaning of “HURTY” as “Hizbawi Rekikeb Tegaru Yitenker” But, to my knowledge, this group has nothing to do with politics other than enjoying life as it is. As Wediba Garo, mentioned it above some of them were jailed lifetime till they get freed by Agazi operation. I know also some members of the “HURTY” and “LUNGY” group are here in the US and one day they will probably explain it to us. Thank you all.

Selam to all of you! I admired who create this Web. and thank you for your hard work to make it happened, and also ANENYA wedi mylaham you come up with this very important article about HEARTEY group, even I may not agree the way you called the group are GANGS because mostly the word gangs represent negative image among our society but Heartey group was among the most historic moment happened in mekelle in our time, the group was about friend ship, about Love and just have a good time and olso there was some politics involvement which was the resin that most of them thrown to the prison for long time specially like Yonas Asefa(GOD bless him) been accused that he was the contact person and he planed to escape all the group to be joined with TPLF and he were lucked in jail (kershelie) till TPLF (AGAZE) operation make him free and went Sudan, you may knew most of you what happened to him finally, any way this article have a lot of things to talk about please say some thing that you know about this article (HEARTEY) and I know most of you group are her in USA. Anenya thank you again. Tesfay Araya California

To the webmaster: can you please come up with some platform for us to share old jocks from mekelle!you know deki mekelle are famous for thier jocks in addition to himbasha and everything else. we could all contribute old and new jocks, we could publish a book of jocks from mekelle and give the proceeds to ayaa, the new stadium or some other public undertaking would be better if it is in tigrigna because our jocks sound funnier when they are told in our language.you could also consider a you tube as a means of delivery or simply type it in tigrigna and submit it.

hey guys deqi adey happy new year 2009. and i hope more divolopement to our country. GOD bless Tigray.Haliluia.

Selam Balloni is remain in our memory for ever, b/c Balloni was the place we spend our time to play to meet each other from different MENDER and for most of as Balloni was the place that we get the peace of mind by waching the talented players. To refresh my memory when I was a kid I was dining for ENDERT BRETTA LEYHOMOM B TESTA and I was impressed by Jelany Mehamed Ferge the way he cached the ball when he was goal keeper for WERASSA KASSA and lately 70’s E.C. Gerie finaly be come National team player and also my class mate monitor and my friend Kashun Fitsum (Wedi Haleka) not only those are the most empress me but I have full of memory like most of you guys b/c we used to do common things that we enjoy and that is way we say MEKELE the Beautiful! It is not the please, it is not the road or the building but the kind and peace loving people There is good and bad time for every generations and we had good time till the military (Nebelbal,Terarra, Woppa etc..)came stolen our traditional sport and peace loving people mind and they terrorized the hall city spicily when they play foot ball, some people used to pray for them to win in order to protects their children from NEBELBAL you know what I mean! We had some hero’s and brave enough to challenge them and fight them on the street, bar, restaurant etc. they used to fight them even with having their gun specially Kibrom Tsegay he was well known in our time (if he were foreign person they may have been made movie already about him) any way I have a lot of things to remember about him even after he left his country he be come well known and recognized again by many people, tirelessly taking his time to help the process to their cases to get out from Sudan and ales were and I am one of the people get benefit out of his goodness for helping to get out from my misery and my dark time I really appreciate him and admire him for being good citizen for the people needs help. What a brave guy!!!

the old and good time known deki mekkeles are here. ( the most powr full guys) 1.Siltan. maaylaham 2.kahessu.Asefa (kahesu.beibi)Damariam 3.kibrom tsegay. geibruk 4.yelma sisay. Damariam 5.goliad. Damariam 6.gelani. makel edaga 7.Adisu tekle(wedi krunchit) edaga bieray 8.Tareke mengesha (maybe Damariam) 9.meuz girmay (genbela) 10.Kebede sisay(brother of yelma sisay)Damariam. thoes are the power full fighters in mekelle city in the 70th e.c I know there are alot but for me thoes guys are top 10. but by body is Abraha.H.slasi( abraha hanat) 11 kebele. not fighter but known smart guy on the time. IF I am wrong pls tell me guys.Thank you mekeleti. ( I say hey to kibrom tsegay U.S.A) I am a friend of your bro. daniel tsegay.Nebsu yemharo. may be see you in again in mekele. good bye.

Selam Deki Adey! Selam wedi mariam bugussa thanks for remind us those power full guys you mentioned, I think it is nice to remember those famous guys what they done, not less if not more I mean I am not comparing with American famous like 2pac or some other power full movie actors like will smith but in our time those guys are done a lot of adventurers with enormous risk and boldly not as a movie but impractically they are our marvel some of them scarifies their life for our freedom like legend Sltan Michel God bless him and others, they fought deferent form of battle for freedom which is hard to under stand for most of as like China and anti China group why they used to fight I remember Kibrom Tsegay had two very tough and strong dogs named Flick and Tarzan Kibrom and his friends ( Jelani, mulu wedi amhareyti, Aeyle Abera and I forgot some of them) they used to go Hunting(HADEN) to hunt even Haines and other dangers animals like Qnfizzz which will be dreaming if anybody tray to do some thing like that at this age any way I do not think they been doing just for fan but always it is mystery to me an till one of them from those who remain silent do something or write a book or make movie like other people do hope fully some day lets Keep closer MEKELE ADAI! Thank you!
